Abstract
During his lifetime, Jerry R. Andersen made many contributions to the Utah and national legal communities. Perhaps the most significant contributions were in the area of labor law. Most impressively, a generation of lawyers who took Professor Andersen's labor law courses bear the influence of his contribution. Professor Andersen co-authored the nationally recognized casebook, Labor Law: Collective Bargaining in a Free Society, and the 1982 casebook supplement with Walter E. Oberer and Kurt L. Hanslowe. During his life, Jerry Andersen also was a member of the Labor Arbitration Panel, American Arbitration Association and the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, and was an active arbitrator during his professorial years. It is in his honor that we dedicate this labor law symposium issue of the Utah Law Review.
