Abstract
What about scholars like us who are interested in the methods and the measurement of racial profiling? Will we go to the source itself?. Will we go into the belly of the police department and ask police about their perceptions? Will we go that far? All these steps and more are part of the process of making change. Perhaps we will uncover the hard fact that police perceptions are not so different from those of our white sons and daughters in this nation. But we must look and we must pay close attention; not to do so would be a great wrong.
