Abstract
Early in the present century Professor Leon Green proposed what was then a novel scheme for analyzing negligence controversies. This approach, which has since become a subject of acute interest, was prompted by Green's aversion to that profuse segment of torts law known as proximate cause. This new line of attack held a strong appeal for Wayne Thode, among others, and Wayne demonstrated rare competence in dealing with it. For this reason, I suggest that he would have found interesting my exploration of some possible new horizons I find laid open through resort to Green's technique.
