Abstract

One day he was with us; the next, not. The flash of red hair, the friendly wave, the quick smile, the pithy comment, the brilliant mind-gone. The void Jerry Andersen left is large. For his young family and devoted mother and brother, the loss is painful and the hurt will be long-lasting. For his friends, and many considered him their "best friend," the pain of his sudden death is sharp and leaves a wistful melancholy. To the law school, its faculty, staff and students, it is a loss none of us can replace. While we are all the better for having known him, our futures will be the lesser for having lost him too soon from our midst.
