Abstract
With this issue, the Utah Law Review marks the fortieth anniversary of its founding. For a perspective on the last forty years, the Law Review asked Utah Supreme Court Chief Justice Gordon R. Hall for a few commemorative remarks. As a founding member of the Law Review, and now a distinguished jurist, Chief Justice Hall is imminently qualified to reflect on the Law Review's founding mission and continuing challenge to provide thoughtful and critical ahialysis of the legal landscape, while cultivating the critical thinking and writing skills of students. The editors are pleased to present Chief Justice Hall's remarks and look forward to the next forty years of the Utah Law Review.
