Abstract
In his groundbreaking 1983 article, Nomos and Narrative,' Robert Cover began to develop the themes that would dominate his writings for the rest of his life. Two of these themes, in particular, also would exert a profound influence on legal scholarship, and illustrate the significance of Cover's ideas to issues affecting the broader academy as well.
